Ok I have hunted birds and some Deer but how do you hunt hogs?  I don't have dogs and most of the hunting I have found is on public land so no feeders...... I am not above spreading or burying corn mix but what is the best way?  When I get to hunt it is around 3 hours away so it is a pain to stay the night unless I get a hotel or camp at a camping ground.  Camping and night hunting is not aloud on public hunting ground....

Any advise would be great...

I don't know a lot about hunting them as they present themselves
to me enough without "hunting" but I know they are largely nocturnal in
their movements.

edit to add:  I see you are in OK,  the Dept of Parks and Wildlife here
allows hunting these pests even at night with any lawful means.  In
your case I think either dogs or bait would probably work best in the
daytime.

First off, if you don't have night hunting capability either because it isn't allowed or you don't have the equipment, then you are way behind the game already.

If you can only hunt them during daylight hours you will have to do it just like you do with deer.  Early morning/late evening, use bait if possible.

Don't get dogs involved unless you know what you are doing.
