last weekend had 14 pigs come to try and eat acorns on a set up i had made with my pop up blind. intending to get them some where between 20 to 35 yards. ended up i killed the boss sow of the sounder at 10 paces from my tent. shot was right threw the neck and wind pipe which ended her life only 20 yards from where the 125 grain thunderhead 3 blade broadhead hit her. massive blood loose and an easy tracking job. needless to say i was a little nervous how close she and a few others were to me so i had the old trusty 1911 .45 in the lap when i loosed the arrow. pork chops and ribs on the barbie, with a side of smoked pork hams this next weekend at the camp any one can eat it will only cost ya some cold beers. at 175lbs i guess that will be on the menu for the next few weekends of hunting. man i love this pig killing shit it is fun.
