i'm going on a trip in june. i was recommended to use corbon 65 grain hollow or plastic tips for my ar with a 1/9 twist.
i'm also bringing my remington 870 magnum shotgun and dont know much about slug shells. any suggestions? especially if you've used it before and not just what you read in a magazine. |

Hog kill zones are NOT like deer kill zones...

I shot a deer last fall with my Benelli M2 tactical which has an 18 in barrel. Using a bulk pack (15 rd) winchester 12 ga. rifled slug, I shot there deer at about 40 yards away.
Shot through both shoulders making a 1/2 hole going in and an identical one going out. Deer made it about 20 yards before dropping dead. With the amount of blood that it leaked, I don't see how it made it that far. I am a true believer of the lethality of 12 ga. slugs. |
