| I bet that happens alot. Cool to see it on video. A few weeks ago I was tracking what I thought was a hog in some pretty thick brush. I was crawling along for about 30min then decide to just try and flush it out. I stand up and start moving at a pretty good pace and all of a sudden about five cows come running out at me. Scared the hell out of me. |

That guy was fortunate that the hog did what they typically do (make a pass at you...then quit).
Most charges are not protracted affairs....but I would not have wanted to have been out in the open with nothing to get behind (tree or something). A hog that size would really "have his way" with you if he got you down. You can see in the video that the hog took a swipe at him early on....then kept on going. The hunter either stumbled...or purposely threw himself out of the way, but also kept his wits about him and immediately recovered to take a shot. A good outcome....all around. |
