Monday May 10th, NY spring season. 7:20am. 19lbs. 2oz., 9" beard. One spur was really sharp at 1", the other rounded off and just under. Uhh...8 yards away lol. Blew most of the beak off, and pretty much
turned his dome in to hamburger. Came in to 2 feeding hen decoys and light calling. I got lucky, it wasn't snowing today lol. These are all cell pics since I was alone today.

I picked up a Comp-N-Choke XX full, a couple of years ago, on the recommendation(for a 26" Benelli) of the guy that makes them, I think? I thought he was nuts....He even told me the 3 1/2" Winchester Supreme #5's would be the best pattern out to 50 yards. That cat did his homework.....I tried everything, I mean everything....would you like to guess how that turned out too? I patterned it by putting clay pigeons 2 feet apart on the top rail of the fence. Turns one to dust, and the ones next to it didn't have so much as one pellet through them. I really was hesitant about the shot...last day of the season, wind kicked up and a storm moving in, he was just about to bolt....and poof. And I'd be a damn liar if I said I didn't feel lucky as well
