I washed my bird vest when I first got it to remove the sizing so it wouldn't be as stiff. Well now it has blood stains on it and the wife is insisting that I wash it. I've never really worried about it much but the wife says it look "yucky" after a pheasant bled all over the back of it last year while taking some pictures. What says the hive mind?

My lab likes to stick her head in the pouch and you can hear her inhaling loudly as her tail wags back and forth. She has kind of a dazed look on her face when she's done. Keep finding it in her bed too. Since Dove season started she's been nuts. The doves land on the wires in front of the house and she'll look out the window and whine. Then looks at your like your somehow punishing her by not going out and killing them for her.

I never wash my bird hunting stuff. Just spray with scent killer and air dry. Blood stains and feathers.....It's a Man thing....

Just kidding maybe once a year.

If U do just use cold water and hang dry the thing if U must. I use a pouch to carry my birds that is lined ,helps on the stinch if it gets bad. What is bad is when U foget one lil dove in your vest. HAHA

I wash mine a few times a year, if for anything else, to keep the orange bright enough so my hunting partner wont pull a Dick Cheney on me.
