#45 made it to this patch of poison ivy. #46  #47 also made it to poison ivy. Proof that with anything but a headshot, .22mag is lethal, but not always a stopper. Both of the ones that made it to the weeds were solidly hit in the body.  |

I thought I missed with my new .17 Fireball, but apparently I connected a bit low on a big woodchuck. I was cutting some brush and smelled it. Not posting pics! I thought he ran one way, but apparently he made it about 30' in the other direction into some Autumn Olive. From what I can tell, the little 20 grain bullet did not exit. |

Yeah, I had one at my daughter's farm that made it to the brush but was never seen again. I didn't count it until she smelled it a few days later. |

Thought I would be sitting this summer out. Living in a rental house atm, due to a house fire. A groundhog has decided to make a burrow right under where my driveway alarm sensor is. I'm tired of hearing that thing go off 1000 times a day. Picked up suppressor yesterday, ordered sub .22lr today. Looking forward to getting this joker. |

I just found another one I hit solid the other day with RN Gemtech ammo that ran into tall weeds and poison ivy. I was walking past and heard the flys. If you have one, you probably have 6-8. The nice thing about woodchucks is you can pretty much work through your whole armory shooting them. |

It's really any time from 8am to dusk. They are however creatures of habit. If they come out early, mid day or late, they will often come out around the same time every day. If I spook them walking in, I sit down and wait. They usually come back out. |

#63 no Pic. I was set up for what I thought was 40yds from the hole. He stepped out of the corn right next to me, about 10 feet. I couldn't get the rifle around on him so I drew my .22 revolver. One in his chest, one in his ass as he retreated into the corn. He never came out. #64 also no Pic. 85yd shot with .22mag. Gut shot, doubled over, crawled back to hole. |

#70 30yds from deer tower. #71, 148yds. Shot took him off his feet, back a few feet, summersault in the air, then he rolled down to the beans. You can make out a paw and tail. Third chuck this spot.
