My trip to central OR this weekend was great!!!!
A good friend took my son and me down to his "Secret" location to do some rabbit slaying, and that we did.
It was a little cold being 2.7' in the mornings but dressed correctly it was fine, even riding around in the back of the truck at 2:00AM in the morning with Gen 3 night vision and an IR laser to slay them.
Saw 15 coyotes in 48hrs - out in fields, bolting across the road in front of the truck and giving us the finger as they ran off - set up 2 stands but got nothing in on the stands.

A few of the "snow cone" effect, love those 55gn. V-Max.

That looks cold! And 15 freebie coyotes in 48 hours? Dang - sounds like good hunting grounds to me.

Wish we'd taken time to walk through that sage...   We were just focused on what the farmer had told us.  He said we'd have the best luck calling coyotes from his barns.  My guess is that he doesn't hunt or call them, it just happens that he's around the barns all the time, so that's where he sees them.

Next time we're hitting those sage flats for SURE.

does this barn look familiar at all: (if you look straight over the top of my hat, you're looking at the sage flat and the bluff that rises to the North, right where you guys went)
