I am down in the Benson area and looking to try my luck at pred hunting.  I have only hunted a few time and would say I am still a rookie when it comes to hunting in general.  Currently I am planning on using my AR in 5.56 (thinking about getting something else later) and I have my camo and my scent block stuff from archery hunting.  I am going to pick up a decent electronic caller and use that, reading reviews about them now.  I guess I just need to get out there and maybe some trial and error.  Any advice on something that I have missed, I am sure there is plenty?  Anything that I should just stay away from?  I have only hunted East TX hog.  Thanks for the help.

ETA should I take a 22 pistol with me for rabbit or should I just focus on predator?

Get a hold of Rizzo, over in the AZ hometown forum. He should have all the info you need.

Only thing I can offer is to make sure you're 100% squared away, as far being legal. Some Game & Fish officers are real sticklers on the rules and regs. Hell, I've even been inspected up here in Pinal county, by some of the Sheriff's depuites!

If the rabbit's are as plentiful as they are up here, take your .22 by all means.
