Obviously you must not know they are being killed to prevent prarie land / other land from being destroyed and cows/horses from stepping in the holes and breaking a leg or ankle. They arent good to eat, they mate very fast, and they can carry the plague hence that's why they need to be controlled. you shouldn't come on a post and flame him for doing something you don't understand. If you wanted to you could have asked why they needed killing.

Like a lot of vermin in this country, there is no natural predator to keep the prairie dog numbers in check, so we humans need to do our part.

Aye, my grandfather, who is a very knowledgeable man about the county and surrounding areas, said coyotes are having a disease probelm and are having a hard time, so we are doing them a favor.  

The spot we took those on is about a quarter section, if not a tad more.  I am sure the spot is prime hunting for coyotes.

Now if the cost of fuel wasnt so bad, I might be able to afford to go out.
