Who here hunts with the quarter bob? I just picked me up a Ruger M77 RSI in .257 to try something different and not so main stream

Got a custom I had built on a Rem 700 Action, Shilen match barrel (23"), McMillan Stock and topped with a Leupold 3x9.

It really likes the Barnes 115 X bullets.

I really love that little rifle and its an excellent medium size game cartridge.

I have a Ruger Ultralight in .257 Roberts.  I've taken two deer with 100 gr Hornady Interlocks which worked just fine on broadside shots.  I've since switched to 120 gr Hornadys but I've been busy shooting deer w/ other calibers since I made the switch.

Dad has an old Ruger .257.  He's killed a lot of deer with it.  Fine cartridge.

I have what is essentially a .264 Roberts (6.5x57).  It kills deer and wild pigs very well!  I seriously doubt any critter would be able to tell the .007" difference between the two.

I have a Remington 7600 in 257 Roberts.

Sighted in with the Remington factory 117 grain CL's.

Very accurate but never killed a deer with it

Can't leave my 35's home. Whelen and Remington.

I've got a Winchester Model 70 featherweight in .257 Roberts. It sports a 2.5-8 X 36 Leupold which in my mind is just about the perfect scope for this rifle. I've only owned it for a couple of years, and only had it to the range with factory ammo a couple of times, but it quickly became one of my favorites. I plan on working up some handloads as soon as time permits. Thanks for the tip on the Barnes bullets.

I have a remington custom Classic in 257 bob. Mounted it in a Fajen piller bedded stock.

Good caliber but you get the most by hand loading for it. I have not shot mine in a long time but you never know I might use it for coyotes in spring time. Round performs well on deer if shot at resonable ranges of say less then 300 yards.
