Some pics from my game cam.  This guy looks messed up, definitely his rack.  There are a lot of pics with him like the one with his mouth gaping open.  It makes me think he is sick.  He looks to be a seven point, has four on one side so is legal to take in MO.  He appears smaller than some forkhorns I have pics of too.  I think he needs to be culled.  Do you think he would be okay to eat?  Any thoughts?

Doesn't look sick or have any problems unless I'm missing something very obvious. Just looks like a young buck without any real mature antler growth yet. My guess is just he's young and not the most photogenic deer in the world.

Bucks during the rut will lip curl while sniffing the air for does in heat. Im not saying that is what this buck is doing but its natural for a buck to have his mount open while doing this. That buck looks a little on the small size and if you are managing your deer herd you may want to take him out as a management buck. If you are just looking for a legal buck to put meat in the fridge and dont have any other options then bag-em and tag-em.

Do not shoot that buck. That is a very young buck with some good potential to grow some big antlers. He appears to be lip curling or scent checking the air. If the date is correct on the photo then it is pre rut. That behavior is normal. I repeat do not shoot him. Let him grow

Looks like Flehman response as others have said. Little buck feeling his oats and checking the wind.

Okay, I just wanted to make sure he was not an issue and needed to be removed from the gene pool.  I mostly shoot does as I hunt for meat, so a buck his size is not something I am after.  Thanks.

HUGE PROBLEM . . . He's not dead.

Other than that I have no informed comments.

Looks normal to me... Har a salt lick near by? That will make deer do funny things with their mouth too...

Yep, a salt like, a couple of blocks around there.  Squirrels and bunnies been enjoying it too.
