| I bought a new grinder this year as well. I bought the Kitchener brand #32 model for about $60.00. It is the manual style with the handle. I took the handle off and put a threaded bolt in the end that will fit my electric drill. Now I have an electric grinder that will grind as fast as your drill will turn. I have it on the low torque setting and it works great. |

You must shoot a hell of alot of deer to justify that.
When "Blue Laws" were in effect here many years ago, alot of guys I know would bring all the deer over to a friends camp that had a full "butchering" garage shed type thing. We had 25 or so deer, 15 guys and a keg. Was a really good time trading insults and stories while everyone processed deer. We had band saws, 20 foot butcher block tables, and grinders like the one pictured. Since NY changed opening day of gun from a Monday to a Saturday, and did away with Blue laws nobody does this Butchering day thing anymore. Another tradition that has disappeared. FWIW, Your picture of that thing made me smile today and remember those days. We also had an ENORMOUS "bone yard" that we could kill yotes at after deer season was over too!!! |
