OK guys, I live and hunt in South Texas. My family's home ranch has lots of low brush, but not many tall trees.
For the most part, down here, tree stands are out. We have a lot of mesquite trees and they arent really straight enough for tree stands. Also, not much of the brush is tall enough to conceal a 14 or 16' tripod. So heres what I need; 4 tripod stands that aren't cheap shit. I need stuff that will last a few years. Plus I'm a big guy, so I need something that will support my weight (235 lbs). I'd like the height on 2 of them to be around 8' and the other 2 to be around 10'. Any input or advice? |

I've been pleased with the one I bought from Academy. They come in 12' and 16' heights if I remember correctly you may want to check. Mines been up a couple of years now and is still going strong. I have a very nice two person box stand but I hunt the tripod the most.
It's sucks to sit in one when it's raining though. |
