The Wife is an EMT and works for one of the local meat wagon (Ambulance) services. Last year’s deer season she and her partner wear responding to call around 3am. About three miles from the station a Doe ran across the road in front of them, they misted it and a nice 10 point slammed in to the left front corner of the Ambi. She call me around 3:30am and said You go set in the woods all day long, don’t get anything and I get one with the Ambi. She also said to get everything ready so when she got off at 5am we could clean it. Knowing my wife they put that deer in the back of the Ambi and took it back to the station. Changed everything over from one Ambi to another and put the deer in the back of her truck.

Growing up in MI we always said if the ammo manufacturers would put headlights and a horn on a bullet hunters would never miss. The deer would jump out in front of it!

Nice deer ! Over the years have probably picked up 4 or 5 road kill. 20 or 30 pounds of meat or more is worth the hassle of selectivly carving away the bloodshot mess.
