Got a picture of a decent buck (for CT) early in the year while growing antlers but I haven't seen him since.  I know he is active because I just found a fresh scrape on one of the trees he beats up.

I've tried Tinks #69, Tinks Trophy Buck, and Primos Dominant buck, along with fake ground scrapes, grunting and doe bleats.  I can't even get a picture of this guy any more.

Any tips as to how I can draw him out?  He has come up close to the house before.

This pic is 25-30 feet from his scrapes

These trees were all within a 10ft radius, as well as a fresh pile of scat (still soft, no fungus)

(same tree as above, just higher up)

Are those supposed to be pictures of buck rubs ?  They don't look fresh or from a buck.

Ditto, and that buck is a baby, probably his first set of antlers.

the little sapling does look like a rub, the others not so much

and it is pretty small for around here; not hard for bucks to pass 150lbs dressed out, and there are certainly a few monster 200+lb ones out there

dont shoot him for a couple years

Too little.  Pass on him and shoot a doe or an 8+ point .

I'm new to hunting and had taken a stroll through the woods with a buddy - he's the one that pointed them out as buck rubs.   Just googled for images and now I have no idea what they are   I'll be out for another doe this evening!
