My hunting buddies and I have had a hell of a time trying to get a deer during archery season this year, so we did what everone should do preseason and got some cameras out......

Only to discover that we are not seeing the deer because they are all nocturnal in our area!  For a while, we thought we just werent seeing them becasue it was too warm or because of the hogs, but now we know that they are only moving at night (esp the does).

If this keeps up, its gonna put a serious cramp into the season this year.  Hell, how do you even hunt during the rut if the does only come out at night?!?
What are these, street-walker does!?!

Anyways, rant done......
anyone have any suggestions regarding our little night-time problem?  Oh, in case you are wondering, there has been no moon or little for the last 2 wks patterned.

Is your area extremely pressured?

Keep in mind that your cam is only a small percentage of your hunting area, and they may only be moving through that particular area at night.

As a rule of thumb, if deer aren't making it to you during shooting hours you need to setup closer to their beds.  Deer ARE on their feet during shooting hours most everywhere, every day; however, they may not be coming by your stand.

Keep hunting hard with "intelligent" pressure and keep a positive attitude

No problem...good luck!  I have seen through the years that a lot of hunters that complain about deer being nocturnal hunt mostly fringe areas.  If you get back a little closer to the bedding area, they might come by during shooting light.  The key is to not get too close and spook them and have a good entrance and exit strategy.
