| I'm partial to the moultrie cameras and the new M100 is pretty nice and under $200. It shoots 6 Mpxl pictures in wide screen so you have more viewing angle, it gives the moon phase, temp, time and all of that other stuff and it has an internal viewing screen so you can check your pictures on the camera which is handy. |

I bought four Scoutguard SG570V trail cams about 6 weeks ago and put them out at the hunt club. Just checked them yesterday and was very pleased with the results. Caught a lot of pictures and quality was good both day and night. Out of about 2000 pics I had maybe a dozen false triggers where there was nothing in the picture.Sensing range was wuite good as well. Picked up a couple pics of some deer that were pretty far out there. Most impressive is battery life. I tested one camera by setting it in the house and I completely filled a 2gig memory card (about 200 pics) well before the battery died. Once I put the cams out on the club I had as many as 1000 pics on one of them and it still had a decent charge. Could have probably gone a couple more weeks at least. So I'd say I could easily get 2 months or 2000 pics of battery life out of these cameras which is pretty damn good for any camera, but downright awesome for a can that takes only 4 AA batteries.
In short, I highly recomend the SG570V. It's a hell of a deal for about $150 each. Adrock1 |
