I'm starting to get the fever. The season is closing in fast. Lets show off some shoulder mounts.

Sorry I don't have one to start off the thread. But I hope this year will be the year for me. I already have a spot picked on the wall for him. lol

Post your pics.

And post the Name of the Taxidermy who did the work for you.

I shot him in Boone County, IL. I've been debating a friend about how many points he has. I say 11, he says 12... There is a sticker under the brow tine on the atypical side. It's longer than an inch so he says it's a point, I put it in the trash category.

8 pointer that I shot in Union County, IL. The shot knocked him down a steep slope into a pretty good sized creek. I found him in chest deep water and went in after him.

141 scoreable points and I have no clue on total inches.

All deer were taken off our farm in southern Indiana except one deer that I killed last year on a military hunt at Newport.

This is an old pic that does not respresent all the buck shoulder mounts I have now:

Anthony Moore of Paoli, IN has mounted all 15 deer heads that are in my home, as well as two turkeys, a coyote, a red fox, and a grey fox.

Well done, it appears you have this deer hunting thing figured out. Its deer like the ones on your wall that are bringing me to Indiana this November. I hope I see some bucks like that on my trip.

My biggest buck. Shot in 2005 in eastern Washington on public land. My taxidermist http://members.tripod.com/scotts_taxidermy/scottstaxidermy/index.html

:Edit:
Finally found my "in the field" pic. It was taken on an old crappy cell phone. I didn't know about getting behind the deer and holding it out to make it look bigger.

That is one hell of a beard on that hen. We have a bunch of bearded hens at our farm but all of them I have seen have beards like Jakes. That hen is awesome. Great deer by the way

The one I posted was shot on public land. The property borders a huge Indian reservation that's been known to produce some monsters. I wish I lived where some of you guys live. I can hunt a whole season without seeing a shooter buck (or any buck). I guess hunting on public land where the A-holes don't get off their damn 4 wheelers has a lot to do with it.

That's an impressive buck. Have you ever had it scored? If it had a couple drop tines it would have it all.

I have never had him officually scored but when I do it he grosses just over 170.  He actually end up in the April 2009 Outdoorlife Deer of the Year magazine.  One of my cousins sent in the picture.  I didnt know he sent it in and was reading the mag when I saw MY deer.  I about crapped myself.

He doesn't need droptines.  He HAS everything as far as I am concerned.  Once in a lifetime and I am incredibly lucky.  If I never see another one like him, I am okay with it.  Okay okay, droptines would have been nice.

Private property here. We bought 1000 acres about 25 years ago. We were doing QDM on it before QDM was cool.

I hunted all bow season without a kill, then I had one day (opening day) to hunt the rifle season before I headed to Iraq. I shot him out of my bow stand at 25 yards that opening day...
