[ARCHIVED THREAD] - BAOFENG UV-5RA Questions

I am not a HAM operator as of yet. I want to start by listening to my BAOFENG until I study for the technician test. I've locked my keypad and don't know how to unlock it. Does anyone here know how to do this?

press and hold the lock button. should be bottom right.

I no know which button not to push when looking around.

I plan to start scanning and hearing what is said over the air. I would like to start monitoring public service such as weather and public safety channels.
