Has anyone here tried the FLDIGI android app? http://www.amateurradio.com/fldigi-ported-over-to-android/

This article is about 11 months old and there are newer versions of the app than it talks about.  I just downloaded the app and manual.

IF someone can tell me if it is better than KX companion I will know if it is worth checking out.  I'm hoping it has more operating modes.

I like it better than KX Companion.  It has a lot more digi modes (I counted 76! ) and it works great just acoustically coupled with the radio.  My $0.02.

AndFlmsg / Nexus7 / SignaLink USB <--- Not Required / KX3

ARCHIVED THREAD - Played around with the KX3 + AndFLmsg + Android Phone and Android Tablet

That is the information I wanted. I need to read that thread but not now.  Have our Goshen Amateur Radio Club meeting this evening.   The extra modes is the reason I wanted it.  I have a nexus7 and a Nextbook 11.  I have FLDIGI on the windows laptop.

I have used it with both "audio coupling" and a Wolphilink interface with good results on both a phone and tablet

Nope but now that I know about it I will.

Is there a win link app I don't know about too?

No, JT65 is specific to WSJT.  I've been look hard at a cheap Windows tablet for this reason.  They are about the same size as an Android tablet but will let you run the full versions of FLDIGI and WSJT.

That said, I've found AndMsg to be one of the best decoders. out there.
