Who's really looking forward to seeing these things get more amateur use?

I'm half-tempted to buy one of 4z4rb's amplifiers... You wouldn't really have to worry about SWR mismatches breaking it, lol.

Looking at the datasheet, that's a heck of a transistor. Am I reading correctly it's 1.2kW from 2mhz to 200mhz? and funtion up to 600mhz? Nice.

All the BLF- - - XR series are this rugged. The moderation is a little dry in this video but it is a sales demo.

Jim W6PQL has developed RF pallets and amplifiers for HF to 70CM using the BLF series. He has a variety of parts and build stages all the way up to complete amps.  He now has the splitter and combiner boards so that you can run 2 BLF pallets loafing along at 1.5 KW. With proper air cooling this amp should last two lifetimes. If you look at his build quality I would much rather buy something from him. I am giving some consideration in selling off my Icom PW-1 and investing in a couple of his amplifiers.

Most Impressive.
Wish they would have had a T\C imbedded to see temperature rise during the extreme conditions.

If I can ever sell my al-811 I'd buy a mostly-complete blf188xr amplifier from w6pql.
