Just wanted to thank the HI brothers.

I talked to W6OCL and WH6OR tonight.

After I did that they wanted to talk to each other...ad we had a very polite conversation about it.

This is the sort if thing that impresses me.

They were...gentlemen...about it.

I was...impresssed.

WH6OR is in Kihei and I'll be passing through there tomorrow on my way to Kaho`olawe.  I'll be bringing my KX3 with me and hopefully I'll get him on the air and direct him to here.

I've heard there are one or two good guys out here.

lolz

I was just calling CQ in the noise and all of a sudden there are two HI operators calling me.  I typed in the first call in Xlog and was like "Are you in HI?"  "Yes"  "Wow, you are very clear for a train-wrecked band!"

Worked both and then one of them asked "Bruce, would it be OK if I worked XXXXX on your frequency?"

"Never been asked that before...absolutely!"

QSO

"Thanks for letting us borrow your frequency, Bruce...mahalo!"

More or less the same from the other guy.

I dunno, maybe it is no big deal...it just struck me as imminently polite...the polar opposite of how this would have gone with two average IZ stations.
