Anyone know the minimum need for a laptop and using SignaLink with Yaesu 817ND. My laptops getting old and I would just not use it for anything extra like this. Sometimes the CPU runs 60-100% as it is. Thanks!

Now THIS sounds like a job for fldigi and Linix.

What are the specs of the laptop?

This interest me as well.  I'm in the market for a laptop.  Currently I only have Macs and I can run fldigi, but I am wanting to get a small laptop for field use and be able to sign up for echolink.

I was shown a program or "app" to use on a tablet for PSK31 for portable use.

I was hoping a Tablet or something economical from China Mart would suffice.

I'm using a Acer Aspire 5050 (AMD Turion 64 2.2 Ghz, 1 GB DDR2) running Linux Mint Mate and Fldigi.  It was a Win Vista Laptop before the software change.
With use on a FT-857D and SignaLink.  I use it to check into our ARFCOM Digital Net on Wednesday's.  The same laptop works fine with the IC-7200 too.
