I was bored and playing around with an analyzer this evening, found some info out about the BF-888 that some may want to know.

Now this was all according to my Baofeng and my analyzer (General Dynamics R8000B).

Transmit Power: 2.25W (It is technically within the <4W limit on the back of the radio)
Squelch: Mine opened at -125 dBm (I haven't touched the setting on the radio)

I'm still figuring my analyzer out. I know there is a SINAD measurement on there. I'll get more info on the radio as I go.

I was testing at 462.700 MHz for RX and 467.700 MHz for TX.

Nice piece of equipment you got there. I'd love to have one but not sure how much I would use it. How much did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

A dealer told me that Baofengs which fail QC are not rejected but are sold off at lower cost via the internet. It'd be interesting to characterize a few and see how much variation there really is.

Nothing. My boss is a dealer for them and gets demo units for free. This one is my demo unit. Comparably equipped I think it's around a $30k unit.

It'll be interesting to test UV-5R's. I know a "dealer" for those locally. Have a bunch of his duplexers to tune.
