| I sold my Yaesu FT 8900 today and am in the market for a new Kenwood TM V71a. Where is the best deal on my new radio? |
|
Excellent radio and as stated
MTC Radio Or R&L electronics. Once you learn the layout on the radio you will wonder why all radios are not this simple to operate. Get the programing cable and use chirp software or the free Kenwood software that you can down load on their website. |
| I'm in love! I've had my Kenwood TM V71a for a couple of days now along with a Diamond SG 7500 antenna and I must say that this is the radio I've been looking for. So user friendly, simple and intuitive. Sound quality is typical Kenwood hi fidelity. Overall just what I needed. Anyone on the fence about this radio... I give it 2 thumbs up. |

That's a perfect combo, The v71 and the SG 7500 go togeather like a perfect match. The SG 7900 and the ICOM IC-V8000 are also an excellent combination. |

$499.95 !
No way I'd ever pay that much for VHF/UHF mobile for that price it better be HF all mode. But you paid/pay $4## for the FT-8900 and $380 for a TM-71
No Sir. I did not maybe you have me mixed up with the OP Around here, VHF/UHF is mostly old farts blathering on about Denny's vs. Bob Evans for 15:00pm supper, or moaning about there health problems. I have a lot more fun on HF |
