I can't believe how difficult this turned out to be.

All I want to do is input text and have it CW'd to me.

The Koch steadfastly refuses to allow any customization.

It seems so incredibly obvious to have the option to input custom text for CW playback yet across the net there is a marked absence of this.

So far the closest thing I found was on qbit.it.  But does it use the built-in player?

NO!  Why would it do that?  That's TOO EASY.

So when the quicktime plugin request pops up, is accepted, downloaded and installed ............ it doesn't work.

Why?

Because that would be TOO EASY.

Ok, what you got.

Just Learn Morse Code allows you to customize a string and play it back.   It's a fantastic learning program.  I believe the G4FON does as well, but I am not near my computer to double check that.

IZ2UUF is an excellent one for 'droid that offers the same feature.

I have a perl library I wrote for my repeater controller that will generate wave files from arbitrary text if you want it.

On my android phone I have an app entitled 'AKA' - Androidomatic Keyer

One screen (plus settings).  On that screen are four locations that will allow you to send CW all day long in contest mode by pressing two keys on your phone.
The beauty is that it will playback anything you want at any speed you want.

I'm not sure if this one will help but from some of the previous "let's post in morse code" threads, I found this site: http://morsecode.scphillips.com

The translator link will translate between English & Morse code as well as allow you to play the CW output, and has options for controlling the volume, pitch, speed, & Farnsworth Speed.

I was hoping the "send a message to a friend" was to send text messages, but it just generates a link you can send...  My example.
