This is the thread I've been looking for!!! I knew I'd seen it before but couldn't find it with a search. Finally your post in the antenna gain thread told me it was you! I'm thinking of replacing my current 20 - 10 antennas with a TA-63-N so I can get some gain on 12 and 17. Can you share a review? Pics too if you want. |

I got the yard staked off this weekend and waiting for the build permit for the tower. Still a lot to be done before the Mosley is on the air. |
| DirtNasty, I just ordered mine today! They're waiting on a shipment of materials, and if that comes when expected mine should arrive in 3 weeks when I'm on off work for a week. Just the TA-63-N, I can't handle the extra load of a 30 or 40 meter add-on with my current setup, and I can't afford a tower this year. |

You will probably get your up and on the air before me. I'm not putting the 40m add-on to start. Going to see how everything handles the TA63 first. It's going to be hard enough getting the beam up and around the guys without the 40m kit to start with. I will probably put the 40m kit on there once its already mounted.

Not sure when I'll get it up but I think it will be next weekend at the earliest. ETA: I didn't order anything other than the standard TA-63-N but mine is the special military 3 piece boom model. Looks like yours is the standard 2 piece boom? I wonder if there is any difference in strength or anything?
If anyone is curious, the different boom is mentioned on the fourth to the last page: http://www.qsl.net/w8rid/Manuals/Antennas/TA63N.pdf |

No clue. I bought mine off a guy that purchased it and never put it up. Never even opened the box.
I just got the tower delivered today. Guy dropped off 80' so now I have 20' extra that I need to sell or decide to start over and put it up at 80'. Leaning toward leaving it at 60-65' and just get the damn thing up. |

The 40m add-on should have been here today as well but wasn't The "40 m add-on" is known to be a problem in high winds, along the Gulf Coast (hurricanes) or "tornado alley". They bend right across the loading coils. But you already ordered them. Hope you live where that's not a problem. |

I only have the serial number unless there is something in one of the other boxes. The manual it came with also contains the NSP addendum. If it's still factory packed you might be able to tell exactly how old it is. Mine was made last week and was packed with newspaper from mid to late February. If yours is packed with newspaper it will be interesting to see what the date on it is. |

Good choice. I've had a Mosley up since I was 11 starting with a TA33jr, added 12/17m warc. Sold that 20yrs later now have a TA53/ 40m and standing by a CL33 12/17/40m, with it !
If you ever see a Mosley antenna pick it up, they last forever and parts are still available. Just put helped friend put up a TA33/40m and it works great of course. If you have any questions about assembly or otherwise let me know. 73- |
