Why does this get brought up so often? Seriously in case you didn't know, there are idiots in every hobby.

The good thing about 14.313 is that they stay in one place rather than trolling the bands.  I just let them do their thing in peace there so they don't spread elsewhere.

Oh, I SO want to screw with this guy.

But I won't.  It's entertaining to listen to for a while.

I'm never in the 20 meter band, and I just landed there because of the strong stations. I guess is funny to listen all that non-sense?

It's about like listening to a Jerry Springer show.  You know its BS but you gotta tune in occasionally to see what they come up with next.  I use 14.313 to practice adjusting for weak signals.  I can always find someone on there to try to dig out of the dirt.

I have heard stories that there is a Japanese holdout that keeps trying to get through to Tokyo from New Guinea that works CW on that frequency. Some corporal that doesn't know the war is over yet.

He's on 14.273 now

He sounds like someone who watched Telemundo for 5mins and thinks he knows Spanish.

14.275 and K1MAN used to be like that but his ticket has been pulled for good now I think.

On the Zed it is not permitted to mention either of those frequencies or the names or callsigns of the aforementioned individuals (last I heard).   The key text strings were automatically replaced with ***** by the software and soon a mod would come along and kill any thread which contained them.

Though really, I like free speech better.

I'd have to ask him, "Carol?  Now what kind of sissy name is that?"

And have a bowl of popcorn handy.

Most likely because the FCC in Canada has no enforcement arm.

He said a lot of things about dead GIs more than once and I am surprised that the boys from Ft. Lewis haven't paid him a little visit yet. You can pinpoint him on Google Earth and he has a nice tower that looks like it would fall nicely onto his roof with a little help.

Incidentally the way I would handle this as as base commander if the got caught is this

"Send them in."

"OK, guys. Article 15. Fined a dollar and 1 hour of extra duty. If none of you get arrested for homicide over the next two weeks the findings will be set aside. Sign here. Go pick up some trash and report back here in an hour to show me the trash you picked up."

"Sergeant Major, have someone type up a letter to Command saying the vandals have been properly punished for their misdoings"

Five GI show up with the trash. "You and you. Report to the Sergeant Major in 2 weeks and remind him to make damned good and sure I order these findings set aside. That is all. Now GTFO."
