Being a new tech didn't have a swr meter or a watt meter to check radios.  Will any of this stuff work for that?  And was it an OK deal at $8

The watt meter says that Baofeng marketing might be ahead of there tech for 1 and 5 watt outputs........

Not bad for $8.  It looks like it's for CB use so none of it will be good or accurate at VHF and higher.

Was reading that about the swr meter. The wattmeter should work on any band though right?

It's only designed to be used up to 30 MHz too, so it won't be accurate above that.

If you know someone with a calibrated Wattmeter good for VHF, you MAY be able to tweak it to where it reads "good enough for government work" over a limited range.
