I'm hoping one of you guys can help me out with some scanner issues I'm having. I've got a BC346XT handheld that won't RX any freqs. I originally programmed with ARCXT and a radio reference subscription. It was working fine up until about a year and a half ago and then overnight it just stopped working.
I thought that I might have had a control channel locked out or something but that wasn't the problem. I manually went through and checked channel lockouts and whatnot and couldn't find a thing wrong with the programming. So wiped the memory clean and went back and programmed again but with FreeScan this time and used radio reference again. Still nothing. I've tried putting in the local ham repeater and I can't even pick that up. Local PD is on trunked analog Motorola system.
Any ideas fellas?

How close to a transmitter have you been? I guess what I'm getting at is the antenna connection on the inside of the scanner may be cracked/broken. If you have a 2 meter HT, (and licensed of course) you could try transmitting a few feet from it and see if it picks that up.

Well that was a good idea but I just cracked it open and the solder points are solid.
ETA: I've had my buddy key up his 2M HT and talk and still got nothing on multiple freqs. The scanner has a close call feature that will detect any TX within a pretty close range.
