Since we have a digital modes thread I thought it would be good to make a SRD Tips and tricks thread.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use a Fast computer, I was running my Flex-1500 on an older dual core computer, it worked OK, but the CPU load was high I moved the Flex-1500 over to a faster Quad core computer and I can tell it is running better and the CPU load is much better. |

someone please tell me about asio4all and jackaudio. I installed them but cannot figure out WTF they do. There are 2 other options for virtual audio to get audio from your PC to the SDR:
Virtual Audio Cable ($35) VB-AUDIO (freeware for 1 connection) Supposedly the jackaudio/asio4all was another method but I couldnt figure them out |
