I'm the happy owner of a new FT3K.
I wrestled with the FT3K vs Elecraft K3 decision for 2 weeks. Bottom line, just not yet ready for the K3 for no more than I am on the air.. Anyway, I'm liking the rig. Pretty intuitive since I previously had an FT-950. (I still think the FT-950 is currently the best bang for the buck in a base HF rig) Only small nit so far is that if you look sideways at the CLAR/VFO B knob it moves the sub display off 0. No way to adjust tension, might remove the knob and put a felt washer behind it for a little tension. Anyone else? PIX ADDED

Once you get settled with your new radio you may want to consider purchasing the Telepost LP-Pan 2. This along with a Creative EMU-0204 sound card will give you a 192 khz display like a Flex Radio. LP-Pan2 Link
