QRT for a week > Ham Radios

I'll be off the air for about a week, as I'm leaving for Las Vegas, tomorrow. This retired life is wearing me down, so I need a vacation.

But I know I'm turning into a real Ham radio operator because I feel like I might miss something, while I'm off the air. I even got a CW app for my cell phone so I can practice while I'm out on the road.

It's a sickness, and I think I need help.

Think of it this way...maybe the bands will be crap while you are gone.

I wouldn't wish bad propagation on anyone.

Actually, I think it will do me some good to step away from the radio for a few days. My camera gear has been collecting dust lately, so this will be a excuse to get back into that hobby, again.

And if I hit the Mega Millions jackpot, I may not be back for a while.

If you hit the mega millions... You will be back sooner than later.

I can see it now... Thread title: is 11 monoband tower's "extreme"? I'll be there trying to convince you to stack the antennas on each tower.
