I think it is time to ask the ARRL to petition the FCC for another rule change.
If a license holder lives somewhere exotic ... you know, like Hawaii... Said license holder is compelled to have a nice QSL card !!! Said card " must " include a photograph of the " exotic " environment and be printed on glossy photo quality heavy card stock... License holders who's QTH is fond on the list of exotic locations, and is found guilty of sending out crappy one color non-graphic QSL cards shall be subject to public reprimand... Just say'n... |

Quoted: Yea... just got a really sucky, normal, plain card from the big island.... hate that... Me, from no where USA, I am allowed sucky cards... but not Hawaii !!! Welcome to the club. This was a bit of a disappointment (not my card, but just like it): ETA: Looking through my "boring" cards I have some from Hawaii, Bermuda, Aruba, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Argentina, Galapagos Islands, St. Lucia, Peru, and Alaska. Most of those are via an American QSL manager, so it's not like they had to save money to put toward postage to the states. |
