I'm sitting here copying the SSTV guys and kept seeing some jackass sending RTTY on top of them.
The SSTV Guys will be quiet for a while then as soon as they start he sends RTTY on top of them again. |

Move somewhere else for a while, he will go away. That is like telling the PSK-31 guys to move Having a waterfall to watch now, I can really see the deliberate crap people pull. |

Them idiots are all over HAM bands. They should have kept the Morse code requirement to get on HF bands. Many causing interference are old hams that were required to pass code. That interference was just as bad 25 years ago. We have fought it for years. The lack of code has nothing to do with it. |

Yes, I've known some to use other people's call sign to try to get them in trouble as well... Some people's kids... :) As for intential interference that's supposed to be illegal as well... But, try to prove it... Just ignore them, they will give up eventually if they are ignored... Some thrive on attention like little children...either good or bad... Bret |

yea it happens, there are jackasses on the bands, 14.313 was even worse than normal tonight i listened to those shenanigans while doing some soldering on a gonset earlier
it isnt just on HF either, we have major problems with it on 2 meters locally here and it is damn near impossible to get an OO or the FCC to do anything about it... that is one of the reasons i am getting a 900mhz repeater now |

I know a few people that installed Doppler rigs in thier cars to try to catch them...still never helped... There was some issues with pinned coax over the years too. The only real choice is to just ignore them...it works best... I've not had any real issues myself, but there has been some with the more outspoken types on both sides. I don't run ham frequencies that much...but when I do I haven't had an issue... My 2 cents. Bret |

They switched it over to d-star a few years ago to get away from all the jack wagon jammers. |
