The wife and I have decided to buy another tm-v71 for familiarity reasons. I bought our first on for her car because I liked the simple layout and uncluttered display. That is the reason I didn't buy the 710, just to much going on.
I would like to add aprs to each and have almost decided on the opentracker usb from argent data systems. But I know there is alot of positive reviews for the tinytrak. Here are my pros for the opentracker Tnc, power cable, rig cable, gps $90 Dual channels Simple gui interface Am I missing anything? |

I have both a TT3 and a TT4 and both have been excellent units.
I am however looking at an opentracker to use with a Garmin GPS for receive functions. The lower cost is nice, I haven't heard anything bad on the OTs. I talked to them in some detail last year at Dayton. The GPS that was sold with the OTs used to be the exact same unit that was sold with TTs, except for the label and the lower price from Argent. I think Argent is selling a different one now though. |
