Passed the test about 3 hours ago.
Not bad for a guy that was looking for a decorator piece a while back. |

J/K Congrats pic! Try some DXing in the 14.150-.180 segment. This is a lot of the reason I did it. It just galled the living shit out of me to hear someone in Outer Mongolia thay I knew I could have baged except he was on, for example, 14.165. Congrats Pic! I really need to get off my duff and study for the upgrade. Hearing a DXpediton calling CQ in the Extra bands really bugs me, too! Vulcan94 |

All I did to prepare for the test was open an eham Extra test and leave it there.
During different times during the day I would swing by and answer a few questions. When I answered all 50 I would check my answers, make mental notes and reopen another. Some days I would take the test several times, and once in a while it would take me a couple of days to finish one. When I started getting mid 80s I started looking around for a fairly convenient place to take the test. I suppose you could say it took me quite a while to study, but it was strictly a long term project. Just plodding away in spare moments added up. |

Oh jeez. The Old Guard is right. It's way to easy to become an Extra today. I mean how are we supposed to keep out the riff raff?

And yeah I remember that first post looking for a decorator piece for the man cave. Got a bit more than you signed up for, eh? I upgraded to Extra for the DX chasing also. It has paid off. |
