Just learned a little bit about Auto-patch and i was interested in trying it out but from what i can tell

you have to be a club member to use it. I am still very new to ham (License issued 7/5/12) and have

not become affiliated with a club yet so i was wondering if anybody knows of an open Auto-patch in

the Denver or Colorado area that i could try it out on.

Thanks

Congratulations on the brand-new license!  I only see one repeater (447.150) in the Denver area with an autopatch, so you might want to listen there for a bit and introduce yourself...

I'm surprised they're still out there. With everyone having a cell phone these days we don't have any locally. Sucks too since I've used it when I left my phone at home. I understand not wanting the added expense though.

From what i understand there are about a half dozen in the Colorado but they are all private and owned by clubs. Don't get me wrong i have no problem supporting the clubs for there time and expense i just don't know what one i want to be a member of yet. I just wanted to try it out.

The one on 447.150 is owned by the Colorado Repeater Association.  It looks like they have 5 repeaters with autopatches.

Understood. Not sure what they run out there but our clubs are all $5/yr. For that I can join them all and not worry.
