Wouxon UVD1P. I have 2 of them one for me and one for "the wife" they are great little radios and the price cant be beat. However they can be a pain to program from the keypad until you get the hang of it.

A lot of members on here have them and all say good things.

The first challenge is figuring out what frequencies to program in your area:

Hate to sound like a S.... A.. but any radio is easy to program with the right software. The Wouxon is easy but the Chinese software leaves a LOT to be desired! Fortunately RT Systema has come out with progrmming software for it so things are good.

I would keep at it with the FT-60R until you get the hang of it.  I had to reset mine to factory defaults a few times before I got the hang of it.

Pushed the button. It didin't hurt, and I got off to another start. Which is working out.
