Picked up an icom 703 + the other day from a fellow on eham. It came yesterday and since today was my day off I got to try it out with the buddistick this evening. Really enjoyed using this little rig today. Made contact with the special event station in Fort Meyers Florida on 20m. I was surprised I actually got through. fmarc special event
All in all enjoyed the day off!

The battery is a genesis 12ah battery. I picked it up from a local ham that runs a battery store . I originally got it for the 857d.
I was holding out for an 817nd but kept missing them when they'd go up for sale. This BRD is getting bad here lol.

I have the same radio, battery, and both the Buddistick, and a Par endfed.

Tons of fun. Best setup ever.

Where is your fuse?

I was in a hurry and out of inline fuse holders. The other radios are gtg and protected. Hitting the store tomorrow.

It's a well-known fact that women prefer guys that run an IC-703+ over that other QRP radio.
