hello all:
I have a FT60 HT and have had it for about 4 years. great radio. the problem i'm having is when I key up on simplex or repeater freq's the radio power downs, then powers up right a way. the radio reads full charge. 8.1 volts. could I have a week battery after 4 years? I've used it a lot. I would think the volts wouldn't be as high if the battery was shot, but i bet the amps just arn't there anymore. am i right? I need a new battery? I should buy a AA adapter to check this out. thanks guys, i check in here every day, don't post a lot. used to few years ago. have a good week, Traprmike, KC0xxx out of MN area. |
