Anybody try the droid app for psk31 yet?

I will give it a run here sometime this week and put a review if I get the time.

Should pair well with my FT-857 in my pack.  No more laptop needed.

youtube video of it.

I think I'd burn out my finals trying to type and send.

I did not think of that.  Macros and a bluetooth keyboard definitely.

I've been looking for a lightweight and small BT keyboard I can use while hiking. That would make this rock!

Damnit! Where were you when I was getting ready for my last AT hike?

Might just have to order that and give it a shot!

iPhones can do it too.

So how are people hardwiring it to their radio, that I haven't seen specifically explained. I am guessing that they are coming out of the headphone jack, and keying that radio manually with a mic or some sort of inline ptt. What about received audio? I have a droid x 1 and I am don't even know if my headphone jack is also a mic jack?

....so confused...I would go the hardwire route, but I haven't seen any info on it.

I guess you can just decode audio by placing the phone near the radio and do the same with transmitting.

For Tx prolly just keying the mic while the app makes the sounds. No cables. And Rx as you described.

If you can use a handsfree earbud/MICROPHONE type plug-in thing, then yes-it has it

I used it for decoding but haven't tried to TX with it yet

pretty nifty little program - I have it on my tablet (which I have a bluetooth keyboard for also)

I think this is pretty cool, but I see it leading to problems.

All it takes is somebody holding the mic up to the phone speaker during transmit who makes any noise and wipes the whole waterfall out.

Not a fan at all of the "acoustic coupling" method.

Looks like someone needs to build a bluetooth device that interfaces with a radio.

Maybe 'hardwire' a BT headset to the radio?
