I also have a hand mic coming for it.... figure it can't hurt to have both

I need to find an antenna analyzer around here so I can finish getting that antenna worked on

One of the most useful, time and aggravation saving things you will ever use in amateur radio, especially with HF antennas. If you're in the market I can recommend the RigExpert brand ones.

just picked up a 949E but thanks much!

still need to tune the antenna but the tuner is taking care of it until I can do that

Digital is so addicting, isn't it? I see you've discovered the ridiculous ease with which a low dipole will hit EU PSK from the East Coast on 20M.

No noise, either. I run with the sound turned off and just rely on the waterfall.
