After almost 20 years in the hobby I finally upgraded to Extra Class. It feels good to have made the grade after all these years. I am very excited and hope to finally work some rare DX on 40m and 20m with my new license. Come on sunspots!!! |

Well it sure has been great using my new privileges on 40m the past few nights. 40m has always been one of my favorite bands, but once the foreign broadcast stations fired up it was kind of crowded between 7.200 and 7.175. Now that I can work down to 7.125, I've been able to enjoy the band late into the night. I've been able to work station into Europe and the South Pacific. I never really had much luck with 40m DX prior to this. Its great to be an Extra!  |
