As I continue my studying awaiting my exam on the second of April I have found an antenna system that I would be interested in building. The type is like the one called "Barker & Williamson HF ManPack Antenna Setup for Military". I'm certain I could build it for less than $2000, but I could be wrong. Does anyone have experience with either the real deal or some sort of fabricated variation? Thank you ahead of time. |

If I built a rig like that I would have to find an alternative to tin foil, since i would suspect the RF and tin foil on my head my not get along....... Mylar perhaps? With all seriousness I would love to see some pictures, would be a good little grab and go rig. I am assuming you use it QRP? |

Wasn't walking with it in the pics. Had the antenna on the camera tripod. 10 watts full power. Usually use 5 watts portable or HFpack. That was a warm day. |
