Has anyone used this software? With the recent interest in packet radio, I am interested in setting up a packet station again. Now granted, I have some old school DOS programs (and computers that still run on DOS) and could get something going, but It would be nice to "upgrade" some. This program looks like it would fill the bill for me. Anyone use it?

Never heard of that stuff. I'll have to check it out a bit more.

I use MixW and it has all of the digital modes (except Pactor 3) and allows packet. It also has rig control built in.

We do alot of MT63 an Olivia in Army MARS nets, MixW fills the bill nicely.

I have been using MixW, but it seems that it's AX.25 protocol is lacking. It crashes packets too easily. The DCD is set to it's most sensitive setting, yet it will start transmitting on top of another signal.. This EmComm software works with the old school TNC's (which I'm accustomed too) and will allow two separate TNC's to be installed for crossband linking capability.
The old school TNC's will also run in a stand alone mode, no computer needed, which is a big plus for what I want to do with them.
I was pleasantly surprised to find quite a bit of packet activity on HF recently, VHF not so much.
