There is a question asking what the common type of integrated circuits are....the Gordon West book says TTL, the practice test I took on eham said CMOS.

Which is it?
Anyone know?

You are referring to this question:

G6C02 (C)
Which of the following is the most commonly used digital logic family of
integrated circuits?
A. RTL
B. TTL
C. CMOS
D. PMOS
Resistor-Transistor Logic, Transistor-Transistor Logic, and Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor have all
been used for logic families. The question is asking for the most common now. In the past few years, CMOS has
overtaken TTL making Answer C the right choice.

From another study guide:

G6C - Analog and digital integrated circuits (IC’s)
- Linear voltage regulator is an analog integrated circuit.
- An operational amplifier is an Analog type of integrated circuit.
- CMOS is the most commonly used digital logic family of integrated
circuits.

- An advantage of CMOS Logic integrated circuits compared to TTL logic
circuits is the low power consumption.

Thanks....its wrong in the book I have....good to know.
Also, thanks for the offer of study guides...I think I should be good at this point.
Took several practice tests and got 100% each time with the exception of this question.
Read through the entire question pool at least 5 times and have gotten to the point where I have almost memorized the material.

Will probably take the exam next week....if time permits.

You'll do well on the test, then.

I'd wish you luck, but "Luck is where opportunity meets preparation."  You have obviously done your part in preparing.

Have a good time with your upgraded license and see you on the bands!

I missed one question on my General exam. This was the question. I put CMOS and it was wrong in the VE answer book. Go figure I know its right
