Ok, now that I have my feet wet on HF I'm looking at trying out some digital. I see a lot of talk about HRD and it's free so I think I'll start there. My question is what do I need besides a serial cable to connect my TS-2000 to the computer. Is the serial cable the only thing or do I need to buy/build additional cabling. Thanks for your help.

I have a Icom 718 using a SignaLink USB, I have a cable that is connected from my computer to the radio and the SignaLink hooks up via USB port.
I have been using HRD and really enjoy it! The best part is that it is free. HRD can control your radio and has a program DM 780 that I use for the digital stuff. There are other programs but this one works fine for me. Hope this helps. Randy KE7*** |
