Hey guys.
I was wondering if you could post some pics of your shacks.
I am in the process of setting mine up and I was wanting some ideas.

Not my first "shack" but this is circa 1991/2

And here, circa 1993/4

And here is my current "shack"

first two are the same bench at different locations. It was 8 feet long and 3 feet deep with a 12 inch shelf above for tuners/rotor boxes etc.

I'm embarrassed.  I shook the box and this fell out on the end of my workbench.

Nice setups! I don't have a 'shack'.  Most of my transmissions are from a HT so theres no -radio room- here. If anyone wants to see my gear they can go to www.ka1mzy.com.

This is my meager setup as of now.  Over the years I've had it all, only to sell and trade.  Geez if I had only kept that Collins gear....

Laptop is for Digital work (PSK, Olivia, Hellschriber, etc).......Other screen is either APRS or Packet using old Win98 tower on floor.
HF Radio is old Kenwood TS-130s to a MFJ tuner to a G5RV Lite 80-10m inverted.  FM voice radio old Kenwood TW-4000a dual-bander to X50x, and
and APRS/PACKET radio is old Icom IC-22/U to KPC-3 TNC.

This old B&W was taken in 1957 when I was a novice at the age of 13.  Mostly old WW2 surplus, and that old Gonset 2m Communicator (5w AM).

This setup is my father's friend (who's an orthopedic surgeon)... From what I know, his entire setup is made from Collins.  He had the electric company install a special transformer outside his house because of all the power he draws from his ham shack as well as all of the other electronics his mansion is drawing...  and yes, this guy is wealthy, but very, very well respected.

Sorry about the poor quality cell phone pics.

Here are the two racks I'm using for my radio gear.  Right now I have a UHF, VHF, and HF rig on the left.  Also on the left I have a audio patch bay and 4 speakers.  On the right I have a home made antenna patch bay, two 20 amp power supplies and 1 100 amp hour battery.  Still have a ton of work to do!

War Room / Man Cave / Ham Shack Beverages

Here is a bunch of my computer equipment.  Off the top of my head there is a 24 port switch, Cable Modem, WAP, Firewall, Linux Server, Windows Server, LTSP Box and battery backups.

I would absolutely love to do something like that.  Just wish it could be done without having to sell my first born.  I'd be all over it for $500 - $600
