This setup is my father's friend (who's an orthopedic surgeon)... From what I know, his entire setup is made from Collins. He had the electric company install a special transformer outside his house because of all the power he draws from his ham shack as well as all of the other electronics his mansion is drawing... and yes, this guy is wealthy, but very, very well respected. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c170/ChinoUSMC/ARFCOM/HPIM0319.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c170/ChinoUSMC/ARFCOM/HPIM0315.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c170/ChinoUSMC/ARFCOM/HPIM0312.jpg Like an episode out of "Lost in Space".... what was the Doctor's name?... Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!! Was it Smith? Like the matrix... holly crap... who would have thunk... Things we remember... |

Quoted: Sorry about the poor quality cell phone pics. Here are the two racks I'm using for my radio gear. Right now I have a UHF, VHF, and HF rig on the left. Also on the left I have a audio patch bay and 4 speakers. On the right I have a home made antenna patch bay, two 20 amp power supplies and 1 100 amp hour battery. Still have a ton of work to do! http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00009.jpg http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00010.jpg War Room / Man Cave / Ham Shack Beverages http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00011.jpg Here is a bunch of my computer equipment. Off the top of my head there is a 24 port switch, Cable Modem, WAP, Firewall, Linux Server, Windows Server, LTSP Box and battery backups. http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00012.jpg http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00013.jpg http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00014.jpg http://www.n7sac.com/images/cave/IMG00015.jpg A couple of these would take up that empty rackspace nicely! |

I would absolutely love to do something like that. Just wish it could be done without having to sell my first born. I'd be all over it for $500 - $600 |
